The Clan MacEwen, also spelled Clan MacEwan, is a Scottish clan associated with the region of Argyll. The clan takes its name from Ewen, a popular given name in Gaelic. The MacEwens were historically centered around the area of Loch Fyne and held lands in Argyll. A notable figure of the clan is Rev. Donald MacEwen, a Gaelic scholar and minister. He dedicated his life to preserving and promoting Gaelic language, literature, and culture. Rev.
